Let the stories begin

My typical day begins with either the cat scratching on the bedroom door or the dog whimpering in the other room for attention. They seem to have gotten into a habit of waking me up between 7:30am and 8:30am, which I guess is not a bad time considering most people get up for their daily grind at 6 or 7 am. I get up, put on my slippers and robe and open the bedroom door to tell my babies good morning. Our dog, a 65lb. Boxer named Bella, loves to come in wiggling her little tail, curling her body into what I call "a curly q" and looking up at me for her morning pats and greetings. Our cat, an 8lb. Egyptian Mau named Pistol, is ready for her morning helping of can food. I tell them good morning, pat their heads, let the dog out, and give the cat her can food. After they settle down, I usually crawl back in the bed for a little bit to let myself "boot up" for the day. If my husband gets up on time, I will make him some coffee and fix him breakfast, otherwise he rushes to get ready and runs out the door. "Bye dear have a good day, oh take an apple with you."
